Perfume oil has so many advantages and benefits that eau de toilette or spray perfumes don't have. It can be used in many different ways and even if you apply a lot, you're less likely to get a headache. So here are 5 reasons why you should be using perfume oil.
1) The notes in perfume oil break down slower on your skin. This causes the scent to stick longer to your skin and you'll be able to smell the full blend at once. All perfumes have a top note, middle note and base notes, in eau de toilette perfumes tend to go through that process quicker. So the scent fades into the base note after a couple of minutes. However, with perfume oil, once it settles on your skin it sticks there and blends with the natural oil in your skin. Especially if a carrier oil like jojoba is being used in the essential and/or fragrance oil blend.
2) Versatility is one of the best things about perfume oils. It can be used in many ways which makes it a handy product in your daily bag/purse. One of the ways you can use it is in your hair if you want the smell to last longer, rub it in your fingers before running it through your hair. Another versatile way to use perfume oil is on your body if you forgot your lotion, are looking for a lighter alternative to moisturize or just want the scent to last longer. You can also roll the perfume oil tip over your pressure points for extra relaxation. For example, if you apply something with mint or lavender to the back of your neck and temples, it can help soothe your headaches.
3) Perfume oil is really moisturizing for your skin because it doesn't dry your skin out like alcohol based perfumes. A lot of eau de toilettes contain dehydrating chemicals which can also irritate the skin. Instead it soothes and smoothes the skin rather than irritating it and drying it out. This also makes it more suitable for any skin type.
4) Perfume oil has the amazing ability in the strength of smell department. Since perfume oils have higher concentration levels because of their higher percentage of essential oils and/or fragrance used in it. Alcohol based perfume don't have the strongest smell because the alcohol evaporates quicker from the bottle.
5) Which brings us to our last reason to why you need to try perfume oil. You can discreetly apply perfume oil to your body without disturbing anyone else around you. It can be applied right before you give a special someone a hug and the scent will hit without being overpowering. Since it isn't being sprayed in the air it makes it also a more conscious way to wear perfume.
